Dr. Kirill Sharshov, is the head of Laboratory of Surveillance and Modeling of Infectious Diseases, Research Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Russia. He got his MSc. (2005) and Ph.D. (2010) from Tomsk State University, Tomsk, Russia Virology,Tomsk State University, Tomsk, Russia. He published 38 publications mainly on the Molecular virology and Molecular epidemiology of Avian Influenza viruses, Ecology of Influenza viruses and their hosts, mechanisms for interspecies transmission, studying of Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) viruses and their pathogenicity using animal models, antigenic variability of influenza virus, Influenza virus evolution. He also interests in the Molecular epidemiology and Virology of Avian Paramyxoviruses (including Newcastle Disease Virus) circulating in wild bird populations and poultry.
